Managers or business owners who are creating and publishing a roster will generally look to fill in shifts for specific days or upcoming weeks. When creating and updating rosters within RosterElf’s web version, usually managers can publish rosters from a daily or weekly view.
The daily view allows managers to create and adjust rosters by a selected day. Managers will be able to drag the start and finish time of each shift and see live budgeting costs (provided all pay rules and pay templates have been accurately filled).
Our daily view allows managers to then copy a days roster into the next day and so forth. The daily view is displayed in a Gantt chart style, making it easy to drag and slide shifts around. When managers are creating and publishing their roster, the daily view is the default view that will be presented.
RosterElf recommends managers to build a new roster day by day to ensure each shift is adequately filled. Once happy with each day's roster, then managers can switch to the weekly view to ensure shifts are spread fairly even across your business. Both views will provide a budgeting summary to track your budgeting which includes the shift cost, hours worked, break allocation, and average pay rate.
The daily view will allow you to enter shits for the day within a 24 hour period for example 0:00 (midnight) - 23:00. The roster hours can be updated by contacting our support team at email@example.com.
Roster daily views are displayed starting Monday by default, but can also be updated to start from any chosen day, managers will need to contact support at firstname.lastname@example.org to update this.
