Roster Elf Pty Ltd acceptable use policy

  1. Introduction

    Roster Elf Pty Ltd ("Roster Elf", "our", "we" or "us") is concerned with the acceptable use of Roster Elf's Chat Feature ("Chat Feature"). In accordance with the Chat Feature Terms & Conditions ("Chat T&Cs") (https://www.rosterelf.com/terms-and-conditions) this Acceptable Use Policy governs the use of the Chat Feature by your organisation's staff or authorised users ("End Users").

  2. Your acceptable use

When using the Chat Feature, you must not:

  1. use, operate, copy, distribute, sell, sublicense, rent or modify the Chat Feature;
  2. reverse engineer, decompile, disassemble or otherwise create or attempt to create the source code of the underlying software for the Chat Feature, or access the Chat Feature to develop a competitive product or service (except this sub-clause will not apply to the extent the Copyright Act 1968 (Cth) prohibits such restriction);
  3. operate the Chat Feature for the benefit of a third party, including as a service bureau, time-share facility, outsourcing or otherwise;
  4. authorise or facilitate access to the Chat Feature by anyone other than an End User;
  5. attempt unauthorised access to the Chat Feature or any accounts, computer systems or networks of others connected to the Chat Feature, whether by password mining or other methods;
  6. interfere with the use or operation of the Chat Feature or any of our software or equipment;
  7. use the Chat Feature to store or disseminate material that is obscene, contains personal attacks on individuals, is defamatory, pornographic, threatening, or harassing, or infringes the intellectual property rights of any other person;
  8. use the Chat Feature to invade anyone's privacy by attempting to harvest, collect, store, or publish private or personally identifiable information, such as passwords, account information, credit card numbers, addresses, or other contact information or sensitive information without their knowledge and consent;
  9. use the Chat Feature to misrepresent your identity, misrepresent the source of anything you post or upload, or to impersonate another individual or entity, such as with "spoofing";
  10. use the Chat Feature to send or post any harmful computer programs in connection with the Chat Feature, such as a virus, spyware or malware;
  11. use any automated process or service in relation to the Chat Feature, such as a BOT or spider; or
  12. without limiting the generality of the above, use the Chat Feature contrary to applicable law.


  1. No responsibility

    Roster Elf is not responsible for:

    1. any User-Generated Content that is posted on the Chat Feature by you;
    2. your decision to view or engage with any content using the Chat Feature; and
    3. protecting your computer against interferences, spyware, malware or viruses that may be encountered for downloaded items from using the Chat Feature.

If Roster Elf believes that unauthorised or improper use is being made of the Chat Feature, it may, without notice and at its sole discretion, take such action as it deems appropriate, including removing your access to the Chat Feature. Violation of this policy can lead to termination of access to the Chat Feature, both for you, other End Users, and your organisation.


Roster Elf reserves the right to amend or change this Acceptable Use Policy at any time without notice. We encourage you to periodically review this policy to ensure you comply. Your continued use of the Chat Feature after such updates constitutes your agreement to comply with the Acceptable Use Policy as amended.


Nothing in this Acceptable Use Policy is intended to grant any rights in Roster Elf's Chat Feature to you. Failure to enforce this policy in every instance does not amount to a waiver of Roster Elf's rights.
