Leave

Leave requests can be made by full time and part time staff, and days-off requests can be made by casual staff.

Requesting leave allows managers to deny a request if they are unable to accommodate for their absence. If leave requests remain approved, managers can find available and qualified alternatives to roster.

Leave requests are useful as it allows managers to rosters well in advance with absences in mind. RosterElf has developed a smart algorithm which provides managers with a ‘perfect match’ for each shift they rosters. This means it understands which staff are unavailable to work or have requested leave during the roster period.

Managers will have peace of mind, knowing they haven’t rostered someone on, who are overseas or have school exams! Managers will be notified via email if they have a leave request by staff, or can also view this under leave in their dashboard view available both on smartphone and web version. Leave requests can also be actioned via email or through the manager’s dashboard. Please note, leave requests through RosterElf are for rostering purposes and payroll managers must ensure staff have correct leave entitlements with their award and contract.
