How to Copy Last Week's Roster with RosterElf
APRIL 01,2017 | ROSTERELF UPDATES | By SARA KELLY
RosterElf is excited to announce our latest in a series of awesome new features.
Customers will now be able to copy any previously published roster into a future week at the click of a button. This process will then copy all the shifts, including start and finish times, positions names and employees, into the new week within seconds.
The core issue we wanted to address with this feature update is an automatic way to warn users if employees who have been copied into a new week cannot work.
With RosterElf's new copy of a previous week functionality, situations such as when an employee is copied into a new week but is on leave are no longer available on that day and time or have simply left the business can be handled without the chances of errors.
The moment you copy a roster, it will be saved as a draft and RosterElf will do a quick check to confirm that all the employees copied are still available to work the same shifts in the new week.
If any of your employees' availability to work information does not match this new roster, a yellow warning bar will appear at the top of the screen, and impacted shifts will be highlighted in yellow as per the example above.
