Gems are moving to skills
Gemini can't install a skill file today, so the RosterElf install is a Gem you build by hand. Google is replacing Gems with skills: on personal Google accounts, Gems become read-only on 17 November 2026 and are removed on 17 December 2026, and Workspace business accounts follow in March 2027. We will move the RosterElf install to a skill before then.

What Gemini deliberately won't do
It reads and explains. It publishes a roster or edits a shift only when you ask and confirm, a few things it never does at all, and it has no access to Fair Work award rates.
