Minimum staff thresholds explained
RosterElf applies a minimum staff threshold to all plans. This means that regardless of how many active staff you have, you will be charged for at least the minimum number of staff for your billing type. The minimum differs between monthly and annual plans.
1. Monthly plan minimum (3 staff)
Monthly plans have a minimum of 3 active staff.
1.1 How the monthly minimum is applied
1.1.1 At the end of each billing month, RosterElf counts your active staff.
1.1.2 If your active staff count is 3 or more, you are charged for your actual staff count multiplied by the plan rate.
1.1.3 If your active staff count is fewer than 3, you are charged for 3 staff at your plan rate.
2. Annual plan minimum (10 seats)
Annual plans have a minimum of 10 seats.
2.1 How the annual minimum is applied
2.1.1 When switching to an annual plan, you must select at least 10 seats.
2.1.2 Your annual subscription is charged based on the number of seats selected, multiplied by the annual plan rate, for a full 12 months.
2.1.3 If your active staff count grows beyond your selected seat count, additional seats are charged on a pro-rata basis after a 5-day grace period. See updating annual plan seats for details.
Example minimum charges (annual plan)
- Core plan ($6.00/employee/month): 10 seats × $6.00 = $60/month
- Full Suite ($7.00/employee/month): 10 seats × $7.00 = $70/month
- HR plan ($3.00/employee/month): 10 seats × $3.00 = $30/month
