Accepted payment methods in RosterElf

RosterElf processes all subscription payments securely through Stripe, a PCI DSS Level 1 certified payment platform. Depending on your location and invoice amount, several payment methods are available to choose from.

This article outlines every accepted payment method and any conditions that apply, including the eligibility requirements for BECS Direct Debit. To change your active payment method, see updating billing details in RosterElf. If you recently migrated from E-Way, see changing from E-Way to Stripe.

1. Accepted payment methods

The following nine payment methods are currently enabled through Stripe for RosterElf subscriptions. One additional method — Alipay — is coming soon.

1.1 Cards

Credit and debit cards are the primary payment method, available to all customers in all regions. Visa, Mastercard, and American Express are all accepted.

To add or update a card, go to Account Overview → Subscription Settings → Billing Info. See updating a credit card for step-by-step instructions.

1.2 Apple pay

1.5 BECS direct debit

Bank debit Australia only $2,000 – $10,000 AUD

BECS (Bulk Electronic Clearing System) Direct Debit allows eligible Australian customers to pay directly from their bank account. This method applies only within a specific invoice amount range and is available to Australian bank accounts only.

Eligibility requirement

BECS Direct Debit is only available for invoices above $2,000 AUD and below $10,000 AUD. Invoices outside this range must be paid using a card (Visa, Mastercard, or Amex) or a digital wallet (Apple Pay, Google Pay, or Link). To view your invoices, see downloading invoices in RosterElf.

1.6 Afterpay / clearpay

Afterpay lets you split your subscription payment into four interest-free fortnightly instalments. In the United Kingdom this service is branded as Clearpay — it is the same product with the same terms.

Requirements: Available at checkout when your billing address is in a supported region. No separate account setup required — Afterpay's approval process runs at checkout.

1.7 Klarna

Klarna is a buy now, pay later service available to customers in all regions. It offers flexible payment options including pay in 4 interest-free instalments or pay in 30 days.

Requirements: Available at checkout automatically when Klarna is supported in your region. A Klarna account may be required depending on your country.

1.8 Zip

Zip allows you to buy now and pay later in flexible instalments. Available for customers in Australia and the United States.

Requirements: Available at checkout when your billing address is in Australia or the United States. A Zip account is required — you can create one during checkout.

1.9 SEPA direct debit

Bank debit Europe €2,000 – €16,000

SEPA (Single Euro Payments Area) Direct Debit allows customers with a European bank account to pay directly from their account in euros. Available across the eurozone and wider SEPA region.

Eligibility requirement

SEPA Direct Debit is only available for invoices above €2,000 and below €16,000. Invoices outside this range must be paid using a card (Visa, Mastercard, or Amex) or a digital wallet (Apple Pay, Google Pay, or Link). You will need your IBAN to complete setup at checkout.

Alipay

Digital wallet China / Asia-Pacific

Alipay is a popular digital wallet in China and across the Asia-Pacific region. Once available, it will allow customers to pay using their Alipay balance or linked bank account.

These options will appear at checkout when your region is supported.

Afterpay and Clearpay are the same product under different names. It is called Afterpay in Australia, Canada, New Zealand, and the United States, and Clearpay in the United Kingdom. Both allow you to split your payment into four interest-free instalments.

5. Can I pay with direct debit in RosterElf?

Yes, BECS Direct Debit (AU) is available for Australian customers on invoices between $2,000 AUD and $10,000 AUD. Invoices outside this range must be paid using a card or digital wallet method.

No. BECS Direct Debit is only available for invoices above $2,000 AUD and below $10,000 AUD. It is also only available for Australian bank accounts.

Yes, American Express cards are accepted along with Visa and Mastercard through the Stripe payment portal.

8. Can I use Apple Pay or Google Pay to pay for RosterElf?

Yes, Apple Pay and Google Pay are both enabled as digital wallet options. These are available when paying through a supported browser on a compatible device.

9. What is Link by Stripe?

Link is Stripe's digital wallet that saves your payment details for faster checkout. When you pay through Stripe, you may be offered the option to save your details with Link for quicker future payments.

10. Is my payment information secure?

Yes. RosterElf uses Stripe to process all payments. Stripe is PCI DSS Level 1 certified — the highest level of certification available in the payments industry. RosterElf does not store your card details directly.

11. Can I pay with PayPal or bank transfer?

RosterElf does not currently accept PayPal or manual bank transfers. All payments are processed through Stripe using the methods listed in this article.
