Updating your information with Link
When you pay for your RosterElf subscription through Stripe, you may be offered the option to save your payment details with Link — Stripe's built-in digital wallet. Link stores your card, billing address, and contact details (email address and phone number) so future checkouts are faster.
If you need to update any of the details saved in your Link account — such as changing the phone number that receives Link SMS verification codes, updating a saved card, or modifying your billing address — you do this directly through Link, not through RosterElf. This article walks you through each type of update. For the official Link support article this guide is based on, see How do I update my information with Link?
Link vs. RosterElf billing settings
Updating information in Link only affects your Link wallet. It does not change the payment method charged for your RosterElf subscription. To update the card or payment method used for RosterElf invoices, go to update billing details.
1. What is Link?
Link is Stripe's digital wallet. It automatically appears at Stripe-powered checkouts — including RosterElf's subscription payment flow — and offers to save your payment details for faster future payments. If you opted in, your card number, billing address, and contact details are now stored in your Link account.
Link uses your email address or phone number to identify your account and may send SMS verification codes when you check out. For a full list of payment methods accepted by RosterElf through Stripe, see accepted payment methods in RosterElf.
2. Update your payment method in Link
To add a new card or edit the payment method saved in your Link wallet:
- Go to link.com and log in with your registered email address or phone number.
- Navigate to the Wallet section.
- Select an option under Add a payment method to add a new card, or select an existing payment method to edit or remove it.
- Follow the prompts to enter your new card details and save.
This does not update your RosterElf billing
Adding a card to Link does not automatically change which card RosterElf charges for your subscription. To update your active payment method in RosterElf, see updating a credit card.
3. Update your billing or shipping address
To add or update an address saved in your Link account:
- Go to link.com and log in.
- Navigate to the Addresses section.
- Select Add a new address, or select an existing address you wish to modify.
- Enter your updated address details and save.
4. Update your email address or phone number
This is the most common reason RosterElf customers need to update their Link account. If you have changed your mobile number and Link is sending SMS verification codes to an old number, follow these steps:
- Go to link.com and log in using your current registered email address or phone number.
- Open Settings.
- Click the email address or phone number field you wish to update.
- Enter your new details.
- Save the changes. Link may send a verification code to your new contact method to confirm the update.
Can't log in to update your phone number?
If you no longer have access to the phone number on file, try logging in using your email address instead — Link accepts either. If you cannot access either contact method, see Section 5 below for account reset options.
5. Can't access your account
If you can no longer access the email address or phone number registered with your Link account, Link offers an account reset option. Before using it, contact Link support directly — they may be able to help you recover access without a full reset.
Warning: account reset removes all saved data
Resetting your Link account permanently deletes all saved payment methods, billing addresses, and contact details. This action cannot be undone. Only use the reset option as a last resort. Contact Link support at support.link.com first to explore recovery options.
Note that resetting your Link account has no effect on your RosterElf subscription or billing settings. Your RosterElf account and subscription remain intact.
