Elgon Accounting

Elgon Accounting is an accounting and tax practice based in Midland in Perth's eastern suburbs, with a second office in Mill Park, Victoria. The practice works with small, medium and micro businesses across tax, compliance and day-to-day bookkeeping.

Martin Muriuki is the principal accountant. He completed his accounting degree at Edith Cowan University and spent a decade as a commercial accountant before moving into taxation and business advisory, where he has worked for the past seventeen years. Nick Schwehr is a senior accountant and a member of CPA Australia, who joined the firm in 2017 after graduating with distinction from UWA and works mainly with small business, capital gains and cryptocurrency.

Alongside individual and business tax returns, the practice handles payroll and Single Touch Payroll, bookkeeping and business activity statements — which is where an accurate record of rostered and worked hours matters.
