The trends block on the dashboard is a great way of comparing your budgeting from the past 6 weeks worth of rostering. 
You are given three different metrics to view in the trends block.
 Total hours rostered across all sites, total labour cost of staff, and average pay rate of staff. 


The default metric is total hours rostered but it is easy to view the other options.
