Make Sure All Your Employee Have Pay Rates Added
The first thing is to make sure your employees have pay-rates added in their account. This is done in the "Staff" tab under "Pay-Template".
Fix Missing Pay-Rates On Roster Screen.
If an employee is missing a pay-rate, you will see a RED $ icon on the daily roster view. We suggest you save the roster and update the pay-rate in the "Staff' tab.
Accurate Budgeting Across the Week.
Simply add your daily sales targets into the roster screen on either the "Daily View" OR "Weekly View". Accurate cost will be automatically calculated per day and also a "Weekly Summary" on the top right will give you a overview of the week. Information includes, total hours, estimated cost, average pay-rate as well as labour percentage to sales.

Once you have added rates and pay-templates for your employees, RosterElf becomes powerful from a budgeting perspective. Simply putting your cursor over any shift will provide accurate cost information.
